Off the top of my head I would have to say "no", but not because I necessarily feel that granite morphs are actually genetically programmed to be ultimately smaller. I would be inclined to say no just because most burmese females period won't become the potential 20 feet, granite, normal, or otherwise. I don't think that every female burmese has the potential to become that enormous size and I feel that genetics play a direct role in this. I think that potential giants come from giant parents. I think that 20 foot burms is comparable to 7 foot humans. It happens quite a bit, but they are still a small percentage of the populice AND they usually sprout from big parents. All burmese will grow very rapidly if fed a lot, but their genes will slow them down as they approach their genetically preprogrammed overall length. I don't know for sure yet if granite burmese are genetically predispositioned to be smaller because quite frankly my girls are young (3 yrs) and it would take a few more years to see clear evidence of this. But,.... it does seem like it might be the case. All of my granite or albino granite girls slowed down drastically as they approached 11 feet and then crept to around 12 feet regardless of how much they were fed. This seems to me, to be a clear indication that they won't be very big overall as they age. But who's to say for sure. In my experience most of the burms that get real big grow fairly rapidly until they are about 13-15 feet and then slow to a few inches per year. Only time will tell with these granite girls and I'll keep the forum posted. My labyrinth morphs are about 12 feet also but are only 2 years old. All growth pretty much ceased as soon as they were cycled and became gravid a few months ago. But I have seen some very big albino labyrinths. I bought a 16 foot 150 lb female that was only 4 years old a couple years ago.
>>Hi...I was wondering. Do Granite burms get just as big as females? I mean, If i get a female granite, can I expect her to reach the potential 20 feet? (Just wondering b/c i don't know much about this morph and I heard Labyrinths, for example, don't get as big as normals).
