is a mud snake considered a water snake?

Not really but this is still the apropriate forum. I generally consider waters to be nerodia, regina and related / similar genera. nerodia are in the Natricinae subfamily and muds are Xenodontinae. Still, they are aquatic so I would post related questions here.

Are muds really Xenodontidae like the hogs and other rearfangs? I guess you learn new stuff everyday....I had some for a while. A friend's WC that he ordered dropped 50 babies. I got 3 or 4, none faired well at all. But when they aren't native, you aren't left with any other options really.

HMBL is a great site to check when your not sure and I'll site them as a reference. How big of a female does it take for 50 babies?

This one was around 4 feet or so I believe. I have heard the big ones can produce over 100 though.
