What is a perlite 1:1 ratio and how do I know,and if I need a different ratio how do I come up with it please?

Most ratios that refer to incubation meduims is by wieght. You would need a scale. say you have 5 grams of perlite, you would ad 5 grams of water to that to get a 1:1 ratio by wieght. I don't bother with any of that, I just ad water to the perlite until it just starts to clump and it's ready for eggs.

By clump together i mean when the particles get moist enough to stick to each other.
