There IS a diamondback specialist (or two) who occassionally posts here (and in the turtle classifieds). Do a search - I have purchased offspring form him and he is definitely legit, but I just don't remember the name.
Is this littoralis????? I have never seen anything but a uniform dark gray shell. Maybe I'm misinformed here and am thinking of pileata. Illuminate me.
