Hey, how's it going? I have two african sidenecks (pelomedusa subrufa) that have been mating for some time. The female is getting antsy and has been digging like she is about to lay eggs. I am familiar with the breeding of sliders, but I have a few questions about this species... What substrate is best for her to lay her eggs in? I'm guessing wet sand would probably be best, giving the nature of their habitat in the wild. Also, what temperature would you reccomend? Is it similar to sliders? Any help would be appreciated! Thank you so much!
