All this baby talk sparked a few questions to run through my head. There are many species out there that have elaborate rituals to determine the most suitable mate........do geckos do this? From what i've read regarding captive breeding the only criteria the male looks for is that the mate is actually female (thus the wagging of his tail). But does anyone know if wild geckos have any sort of standard from which they choose a mate?

Do males look for females with the largest tail? Do females look for males of a larger size? Does spotting count, brightness or darkness of colour?

This started cause of the word handsome. I don't use the term handsome for males that have not passed puberty and developed those traits that i look for in a mate. Defined, handsome means 1. goodlooking 2. generous so i guess you could call a generous young boy handsome, but to me, and again i say ME, a handsome man is one who exhibits physical attributes i find appealing.

I wonder what a gecko finds handsome hehehe
