You would be better off posting some pics of it so some of us on here can ID it for you.

If it is indeed an Eastern king, you dont want it, bad snakes, better off just sending it my way!!

Just kidding!

If it is an Eastern, then it will get bigger than a cal king, therefore it will have a bigger housing requirement. And eat larger prey items.

If you bought it as a cal king, and it turns out to be an Eastern......you done good!! LOL Better to buy an eastern that is supposed to be a cal king opposed to buying a cal king that is supposed to be an eastern!!!!

Post a couple of pics so you can be certain.

Some of those Splendida (Desert Kings) and even some Cal Kings look very much like Eastern Kings. Try and get a pic posted and we can maybe narrow it down for you.

In the wild, desert Cal Kings can intergrade with Splendida (Desert Kings) or Nigritus (Mex Black King). I have an intergrade that looks a bit like a chain king.

This is a 2003 male Cal King/Mex Black King Intergrade. They occur naturally in SW Arizona and SE California. This one was captive born.
