I got the Exo-Terra fogger for my waterfall and really enjoy it. Yesterday I had it going for a bit and when the sun light came through the window behind the tank this is what I got. It just really felt like I had actually made myself a piece of the rain forest. I know, probably sounds corny, it just seemed like that was as close as I will ever be to the real rain forest. Everyone had just went to take their nap so that is why there are no frogs in the shot.
I was wondering what everyone's preferences are to the times and lengths they have their foggers set for, and the reasoning behind those choices.

Thats why i build them! They look great, i get a little closer when i go to the bahamas though. but its just a IRIE feelin to see a vivarium especially with a nice fog! I am sure that is why most hobbyiest enjoy these tanks! So no its far from corny!

Nice pictures, the light reflecting off of the fog looks awesome. I went to Honduras a little over a year ago and was fortunate to see what a rain forest looks like, there is no way to recreate that experience in our living rooms. When I look into a terrarium I don't experience the smells or the overall giant impression of what it's like walking through a forest. I like terrariums because of the little details. When you're walking through a rain forest, or outside in any area, you often miss all of the little stuff. Being able to watch a small area grow over time is great. I get excited by a new tiny patch of moss growing on the background or seeing a snail try to eat its way through a plant, that's where the fun is. Again, cool pictures, talk to you later
