I have read all of the general chameleon breeding sheets with wide ranges on them and I was wondering where Panthers fall when it comes to things like:
age of maturation,
how long from the time of breeding to the time of laying eggs,
and how many eggs are normally produced,
and how long is the incubation perid,
and can you actually sell all of those babies for the $250-$350 each?
Also, in a breeding "colony" (yes, I know they need to be kept seperate) how many females can one male be expected to cover?
Thanks!

Panthers are alot like veileds when it comes to breeding. They will mature around 6 months but females should definatly NOT be bred that young, its best to waite till they are a year old. males can be bred at 6 months.

They will lay around 20-40 eggs avarage about a month after breeding, but I think the record was 96 from a veiled. it then takes around 6-10 months for the eggs to hatch.

No you really cannot sell all the babies for $250-350. babies go for $200 unless you have ambilobies or really impressive looking chameleons like kammers. (or you waite till they are 6 months old)

age of maturation,
Males can breed at about 8 months, sometimes older, sometimes younger. I don't breed females until they are at least 8 months and are a pretty good size but I know of several people who won't breed them until they are a year old.

how long from the time of breeding to the time of laying eggs,
and how many eggs are normally produced,
and how long is the incubation perid,
Typically a month after breeding before the female will lay her eggs, mine sometimes take up to 6 weeks. Ive had clutches range from 20 up to 30 , it usually depends on the size and age of the female. Incubation time ranges from 7-9 months.

and can you actually sell all of those babies for the $250-$350 each?
If you are professional breeder and your bloodlines are in demand then you can ask pretty much whatever you want. If you are just breeding your pets then expect to get about $75-$100 each wholesale up to maybe $200 each retail, you can ask more if its a hard to get locale or if you are willing to put in some work selling them retail.

Also, in a breeding "colony" (yes, I know they need to be kept seperate) how many females can one male be expected to cover?
I have about 2-3 females per breeder male, most females are never receptive at the same time so the male isnt going to be overworked (not that they would mind lol)

Hope this helped answer your questions

Okay, I forgot earlier:
*How many clutches per year?
*How many of the eggs actually make it to hatching assuming you provide optimum conditions?
*What is the life expectancy?
*For how many of those years are they able to breed?

Thanks!
