You bet! My female is about 16" and is pretty close to full grown, I think. From what I was told, the males can push 20", but the females rarely get above 18". They come from Chile, and are neat lizards, sort of mottled gray with white spots outlined in black, and mine is almost a pale turquoise on her sides after a shed. The females have a white underbody with the underside of the tail sort of bright rust color. Males, I am told, are all white underneath. They are a little more monitor-looking than the bigger Tegus, with a more slender snout and tail and a longer neck . A real high speed, low drag lizard. Mine is VERY fast. She is also a great escape artist. While tegus are not supposed to climb, I found her on the window sill above my kitchen sink. The only way for her to have gotten there was to have climbed up the handles on the drawers! I call her Smart Bomb.
