Looking for adhesive (Plexus)?

reptyls Feb 11, 2004 08:08 PM

I am looking to purchase an adhesive for ABS plastic. I believe it is called Plexus(sp?). If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm pretty sure Plexus is a polish/cleaner, not an adhesive or solvent. Unless the Plexus brand has come out with an adhesive that I'm not aware of.

If you're trying to bond ABS to ABS, there are a couple of IPS solvents. Do a google search for their website. It's hard to navigate but you'll find the info you need.

If you're trying to bond ABS to another plastic, there are also IPS solvents that bond dissimilar plastics, ABS being one of them, I believe.

If you want an adhesive that sticks to ABS, silicone or hot glue work well.

For clarification, a solvent means it will melt the two items together. At least in this case. An adhesive will act as a glue.
