How often..............?

SlipKorn Feb 11, 2004 10:33 PM

How often would you feed about a 2 ft corn. He's feeding on large fuzzies/small hoppers right now. I am doing one every 3 days. Is this ok or not? Thanks.

There is a lot of disagreement on this subject. Check out some of the recent posts on the kingsnake forum for some different opinions. What you are doing is fine. But you could probably back off to about every five days or even up to ten days. Heck even up to two weeks. Snakes are designed to not eat very often.

What I do is feed a snake the size about every 5 days. What you may find is that his growth will slow and at the rate you are feeding him now he will get fat. That said I have a couple growing babies...one corn, one Children's Python and one Western Hognose all of whom have decided it is spring and want to eat every 3 days ...I do try to stretch them to 4 or 5 though.

Failure is not an option. It comes bundled with the software.
