The store it was bought from called it a red legged walking frog, but after seeing some pictures of red leggeds I'm begining to think it is not a red legged walking frog.
anyone have any ideas?

i think its a red and black walking frog.
Maybe Phrynomerus bifasciatus? Common names are red banded crevice creeper, red banded rubber frog, red banded walking frog, fire walking frog, etc. The legs on yours look more gray than on ones that I've seen. The frogs that I've seen have dark black legs and the back is broken into either red bands or is solid red, not pink. Maybe the picture washed out the colors or maybe your frog is just stressed right now and the colors have faded. There are a few different Phrynomerus species that show up occasionally but usually it's just bifasciatus. There is a great article on them in an old Reptile Hobbyists, if you want the issue number I can find it for you. Good luck,

How is yours doing? I just got 2 yesterday. Are yours eating fruit flies? Did you find more care info? This is the only article I have found: http://www.amphibiaweb.org/cgi-bin/amphib_query?where-genus=Phrynomantis&where-species=microps
I would like the old article in Reptile magazine.
