I already have a baby BW tegu (born July 2003 from Agama). He is still in hibernation. I was thinking about purchasing another tegu to live with him. Is it ok to house BW with reds or blues? Also, are the red and blue as prone to hibernations as the BW? I saw a mid size red at an expo this weekend and it was awake, lively, and eating, so I know she was not in hibernation (she has been probed as a female). Since she was a known female (my BW is too young to probe), I thought about buying her (the guys was asking $130, but I am sure I can bring him down), but she was about 2 feet long and I was also wondering if the difference in size could cause a conflict. I have only seen my BW a few times, but I guess he is about 1 foot or so long. Anyway, if I chose to house another tegu with my BW, and I wanted one that was unlikely to ever hibernate (unless they ALL have this habit), then should I choose a blue or a red, and should they be about the same age/size or not? Any advice is greatly appreciated.
