You know you're a dart frogger when...

Spectabilis73 Feb 12, 2004 11:38 AM

I saw this on several forums, and tried it on another... racked up 250 replies, lets see how many funny ones we can get:

what you do is post a list of what makes you know you're a dart frogger. sarcastic ones work fine

You know you're a Dart Frogger when...

You'd do anything just to get ahold of one

You gave up your rocketry hobby just to have the money to start dart frogging

You snoop around at night collecting moss in peoples front yards just so your frogs can have a little green carpet in their house

You steal your wifes/mothers gladware just to throw in some mangy smelling potatoe flakes

You take your husbands/brothers sweater box he needs just to dump in gravel and a bit of mudd and moss, and frog =D

I got a bumper sticker that says "got flies?" with a picture of a frog! Not on my car, but have it. I need a good place to put it.

...you ALWAYS look first before drinking any beverage.

...after looking if you find one or two fruit flies, you pick them out and drink the beverage anyways.

...you have a poster of a frog on a glass of milk, that says "Got Flies".

...above poster hangs above your fruit fly cultures.

...bored at work and searching ebay, you search for dart frog decorations, fabrics, books etc...

...you go to the store and people look at you funny when you have 40 boxes of instant mashed potatoes in your cart.

...you forget to call your family members on their birthday, but call all your frog friends when your first _________ (insert frog here) morphs.

...you have a 7 room house, and 6 of them contain dart frogs or related materials.

...people can't remember your name, but know you when you refer to yourself as 'one of the frog ladies'.

...every gift you receive is frog related.

...you never look at rubbermaid or glad containers the same way.

...when a grocery chain goes out of business, you go to 10 different ones and buy all their 8oz, 16oz & 32oz deli cups.

...you have 22,000 deli cups from said grocery stores and can rationalize having them in your home.

...you have a frog room.

...trips to Lowes ALWAYS involve a trip through their plant department (expecially the sales rack).

...coworkers have to tell you about any reptile or frog they find, own or know of.

...you can rationalize spending $25 for a really small jewel orchid.

...you spend more time tending to your collection in a week than you do cleaning your home.

...you can still remember what the first frog you ever purchased was.

...you buy egg crate material at the hardware store and don't used it for ligting fixtures.

...you have really BIG, FAT & lazy spiders in your home, and don't kill them when you find them because they are FF control.

...you post to this forum while at work!

You see a fruit fly in your soda and drink it to see if your missing out on something.
Your son wants to eat your lesser waxworm media that is in the fridge.

I'll think of more..............

You know you're a dart frogger when:

(1) You go to Sam's Club and drool over the chrome racks

(2) You find 6500K compact flourscent bulbs in home depot and do a little dance

(3) You buy the reject orchids on the crap rack at Franks

(4) You use beanie baby cases as froglet rearing vivs

(5) You spend weeks coding a cool new site for darts (This won't make sense until Sunday, so watch for my post )

...every time you see an opening against a wall, you think what size terrarium you could put there.

...you spend $40 on fruitfly culture media, but you are eating ramen noodles.

...your insect cultures have their own rubbermaid shelves, but your closet is piled with junk.

...you spend hundreds to buy a new digital camera just to take better pictures of your frogs.

...you have hundreds of mason jars, but you have never canned anything in your life.

...you here that a neighbors house is infested with termites and you become excited.

...you used bottled water for tads, but you drink water from the tap.

...you set the thermostat so that your frogs are happy.

...you have nothing to store leftovers in, but you have 20 springtale cultures in new rubbermaid containers.

...you have $20 worth of supplements for your frogs, but you haven't taken a vitamin in years.

Just a few that apply to me that I figured I should add.
