How many people house male/female gophers together without any problems?

jch Feb 12, 2004 11:52 AM

What I have is San Diego gophers. If you think it would be a problem could you please explain. They would be in a cage 4ft long and 2 1/2 wide. Let me know, thanks.

jared, i don't see any problems esp. in a box that large. if something comes up later that you don't like, you can always separate them........

Shouldn't be any problem. I kept a 1.2 group of San Diegos together for years. The only issue is feeding. Make sure you keep them seperated while feeding them. You can feed them at the same time and place a physical barrior between them or you can bag one while the other eats.
