Now I see what a jungle boa makes a jungle boa (more...)

H+E Stoeckl Feb 12, 2004 08:15 PM

I am not a specialist in boa morphs (and I don't aspire to become one). So you may forgive me when I have trouble to understand what a normal looking boa (or a boa with a slight aberrant pattern that is found in many boas) makes a jungle boa.

Today I was thunderstruck with a sudden surge of illumination. These boas are called jungle boas because its ancestors came from the jungle. This is the reason why people are paying a truckload of money for normal looking boas.

But, wait a minute... Don't all boas originate from the jungle? Hm... I think I have to contemplate this matter again.

Enclosed a photo of a jungle boa. She comes from the jungle, has jungle markings and has delivered the pattern to her babies. Literally it's a bolivian jungle boa. I will sell her for US$ 100.000. Any offers? )

AND FED HIM HIS FIRST MEAL. HE IS DEFINITELY FROM THE JUNGLE. WHEN I WAS DEALING IN IMPORT BOAS I PURCHASED THAT ANIMAL FROM RICHARD DUFFIELD, AN IMPORTER AND GOOD FRIEND IN SOUTH FLORIDA. I ALSO PURCHASED SIX LITTER MATES AND THE MOTHER THAT DROPPED THE BABIES, SO YOU ARE RIGHT. YOU DEFINITELY HAVE A TRUE JUNGLE!

Honestly, I feel that there are some jungles that are unique and genetic. A picture of one can be seen in the boa manuel. They definitely are not normal bci.

But, that name is abused more and more. The animals I have seen posted lately I would bet are normal bci. Lets see pics of the parents! And some lineage of where they are from. Just because it has a little color, and a slightly abberant pattern doesn't make it a jungle . . . or worth $2000. That is a JOKE.

BTW, Killer boa hermann, I love it!
