Anyone?
Far as I know, slate tiles are fine as a substrate, as long as they have been cleaned before hand, and cleaned regularly. (soak in a bleech solution then rinsed well 10:1 is a good ratio for bleech, one part bleech to ten parts water. The water should be cold as well).
Really smelly poo is often a sign of parasite infection. The best thing to do is take a fresh sample to the nearest reptile vet to be tested.
What are you going to put between the tiles. If nothing I'd be worried that their nails will get caught in the cracks. IF you use grout I'd be worried that it will get dirty really fast due to it's porus nature. You may want to make try to get the basking spot set up so when they go to the bathroom it lands on tile and not grout. Also, you might want to put a towel or something in their for them to sleep on, tile tends to get pretty cold.
