Feeding help requested

hippieslh Feb 12, 2004 10:45 PM

I have a young ball python who has been raised so far by the previous owner on strictly nothing but live mice. I prefer to feed all my snakes F/T mice or rats. I was wondering what is the best/preferred way of getting him to switch from live to F/T mice.

Thanks,
Stacey

I would let your snake get hungry and then offer a frozen thawed and warm mouse. I'd leave it there first. Live mice sure do a great job of enticing a snake to eat. Just not their nature to eat dead animals.
