this is where i havent done anything yet. what should i do to it

Take him to the vet and get some silvadine this works great to help with any shell rot problem but it is only available theough a vet. YOu can also lower the PH a little bit to decrease bacteria. Also try to keep on land with only minimal water while he is healing. After a week of silvadine he should be okay to return to water for his normal rutine. If you see and of his shell that turns pink or white like an open soure make sure to clean it out regularly with betadine. Also Sulfar in the water will help his shell rebuild it's self faster. YOu can use any brand sulfar medication that can be found at any petstore.

hey thanks alot for the advice. i hadnt checked this in forever. someone had told me dilluted betadine soakings so i tried that for a week but he got really stressed out and wouldnt eat so i got worried and sopped. i was just about to try again, im glad i got your message.

shes definitely not a reptile vet and i doubt there are any anywhere near us, will she still have silvadine?
do i need to dillute it? how long should i let him sit in it (its liquid im guessing)
finally abot the sulfar - will it say in the package how muc to put in the water once i get him back in his tank?
