Ghost and Pastel

Are ghost and pastel the same or different? From my understanding, pastel is a gecko with very light colors (yellow, sometimes lavender) and ghost is extremely light to the point of being washed out..like a gecko who's in shed. Does that sound right or are my information sources wrong? Input?
