Can someone post a pic of a blonde pastel pls?

wallyworld Feb 13, 2004 02:29 PM

I can't seem to tell the difference between some of these lines. I personally have 1.1 bell line pastels, but cant seem to see the difference between lemons, blondes, and the like...

Maybe it is poor quality images?

thanks

I believe the difference in the blondes, lemons, and the "normal" pastels is the price. Thats it and thats all. There was a bogus name slapped on a good ole regular pastel because it looked a little better than its siblings.

I think this name game as far as the pastels is entirely greed driven.

Blondes, tend to become much better looking with age...There aren't that many people with them out there but those who do have them can surely tell you what the difference is. Lemon pastels as well look different in some cases -not all. Just as stonewash pastels, there is without a difference, not only price. Do your homework on each pastel and you will see the differences for yourself as I'm sure many of you can agree with me on that. I've seen blondes and lemons that look like supers, which are insane. These are NOT normal pastels and I dont even want to mention the stonewash pastels lol-they are incredible. Good luck with finding out which of these beautiful animals you want to purchase, they are all stunning when it comes down to it.

Since NERD produced lemons, thats all I see are all these lemons. I guess I even sold one without knowing......
Would I have asked more after hearing mine MAY BE a lemon, NO.

I would advise any potential buyer of lemons to inquire as to who produced the animal and make them PROVE that the said animal is a genetic variance to the "regular" pastel.

As far as blondes, I would love to see some of these "blondes" that are floating around. In the pics I have seen, they look to me like nothing other than a good ole pastel.
Does Nick have any pics up of the Blondes?

Any other members see ads actually change over the last few months?
I have seen a few now, the animals all started out as pastels, then switched to either Blondes or Lemons.
SAME animal, SAME pic, now they are blonde or lemon and some even have a higher price tag.

When I buy ANY animal, I look at...
1. How it is kept ( its health/cleanliness )
2. How it feeds
3. Who it is from
4. appearence
5. cost

My thoughts, if you see a pastel you like and the price seems fair to you, then buy it. I would never buy an average pastel just because of the fancy prefix it may have.

hopefully this pic shows up I have had a few hosting problems lately. this is an animal I produced this year, it was about average for the blondes I produced, I sold out fast and really didnt keep that manay pics around of them. As I explained in detail just a few days ago here this bloodline is from a completely seperate WC lineage than the other lines, some of the animals that have been posted for sale latley (not all) are animals that I sold earlier in the year that are being sold again at a higher price. are people in this hobby out to make money , obviously, that said I think people should generally try to learn a little about a subject before they start spouting off about it as if they were some kind of expert. all of these lines are variable, the more expensive lines may give you a better shot at a trophy animal but there are never any sure things. I produced a few males this year that could have almost passed for supers. The rest seemed on average to be a little nicer than most of the other lines, I have also seen more common lines of pastels produce phenomenal offspring. The blonde line is a genuine distinct line, you can make up your own minds as to wich is the best.

The pic didn't show.

Were you the first to produce the blondes?
If so, was last year the first year they were produced?

Nick Mutton Feb 14, 2004 11:31 AM

No I was not the first, the original animal was imported and bred by Matt Turner. I obtained my animal from him. , this line has been around for a few years , just not as long as some of the others and not in the same numbers. Brian Sharp has a nice group as does Ralph Davis, Millenium Morphs also works with the Blonde line. This year should likely produce the first super from this line and Ralph Davis last year produced a blonde lesser platinum. as far as my pic goes I dont know what is going on , it shows up on my computer when I look at the post but not on everyones, I am not all that computer savy to be honest.
