and underbite and not receding jaw line from lack of calcium.

We have one that came to us and had an underbite and another we rescued and sent to a new home that did. Both were able to eat well and it never seemed to bother them. It actually is easier to give them meds or water!

i just got him a few days ago and he is already 8 months old. i don't know if he has always had it and the people i bought him from said they didn't even notice it. he also has puffy forearms, is that common to MBD? what should i do? thanks

I always rec. a check up when you adopt or purchase a new animal, even if nothing appears wrong. I just adpoted a beardie from the best possible home and I took her in for a routine physical and fecal test. I like to have a baseline on all my animals so both the vet and I know what they look like when they are normal. It makes it easier to tell when something is wrong.

Possible tests you may want to do if you are worried about MBD would be a xray (whole body to check bone density) and bloodwork to check organ function and blood calcium levels. Just my two cents.
