I was considering going to a reptile expo in Fla. soon. I have been told that if I buy a reptile in Fla and bring it back or if I have one shipped through the air I will be guilty of a crime unless it has a vet. certificate of health. Anyone shipping to Georgia must include this health certificate also. I looked up the laws myself. They seem to disagree as long as I am not selling them. So I called the Dept of Agriculture and was told that any animal except a rat had to have this certificate. Someone else please research this because thousands of Ga. keepers go to pet stores and expos and bring animals back. What I am reading on the GDA website and what they are telling me looks to me as if it isnt the same message.
I am still waiting on PIJAC to return a call to look into this also.
