Question re. Spotted Python & Ball Python

Cesar Feb 13, 2004 04:34 PM

I am about to inherit a Spotted Python from a good friend leaving to Okinawa. My question is the following: I have two Ball Pythons living in a large tank now. Can I put the Spotted Pyhton in with my ball Pythons? Or will they kill each other? i of course plan to quarantine the SP until I get test results back. Thank you kindly in advance.

You can do whatever you want, but most people here would suggest keeping them in separate tanks. It is just better to keep species apart. They have different requirements, and should have separate cages.

10-4. I have heard in the past that they could co-exist, and I don't have too much room. I know I could do what I want, but if this is what I wanted to do, I would not have posted the question. I would like advice as to whether or not they could live together, or will they be at each other's throat, or in each other's throat in this case. The answer I am looking for is "yes, they will live together and live" or "no, they will kill each other", you know what I mean?
