I have my first clutch of eggs!!!
In December we had a warm spell and my female snow (non-brumated) was getting extremely restless so I thought I would put her and my male Ghost (non-brumated) together and see what would happen.
Within five minutes they were hooked up!.
MY first breeding pair!
Well, I got home from work today and my wife informed me that Glacier had laid her eggs.
This was 36 days after her and Jacob were put together.
I think she is done laying but I will leave her laying box in with her for a couple of days just in case..
She laid 16 eggs and they all look good! Time will tell.
They were all stuck together in a clump. When I began to transfer them to the incubator box two separated and then one separated.
So, I have a clump of thirteen, a mini clump of two and a single.
I was worried that I had everything right for her to lay now I will be worrying for about two more months waiting for these guys to hatch.

I am waiting for my female cream (brumated) to shed so I can put my male cream (brumated) with her. They have each had one fuzzie and one weanling since emerging. Shouldn't be long now.

Yeah my wife and I were stoked. Then we came to the conversation mentioning an approximate 60 day wait...bummer.......LOL
So,getting exited to wait sums it up quite well.

When I came back to the forum later I could see the pics.
Go figure.

Yeah, It was just a spur of the moment pairing that happened to take. Of course I thought it was early too and then last night on the "other forum" someone was posting pics of their eggs piping and two hatchlings that emerged yesterday.
Now that is early.
