My patternless shed today, he is still working on his digits, and there appears to be a little blood on them, is this normal?
No, it is not normal. Sounds like there was some stuck shed from a previous shed and now it may have lost a toe or is losing one.
If there is still shed on the toes you need to soak it in a little warm water then use a wet q-tip to get the rest off all the toes. If the toe comes off with the shed put a little neosporin on it and keep the cage clean, in fact even if it doesn't come off put some on it.
You need to put a little humid hide in their cages, I recomend the mealworm or superworm cups you can get at petco, cut a hole and put a small piece of paper towel in it and mist it every few days.
Good luck.

No digits lost or anything, and I spray the cage several times a day so it stays very humid or at least as much as a humid hide
Well can you see where it is bleeding from? If it is not a shedding problem, I can't think of what it could be.
Also I don't know if the whole cage should be humid all the time. It may be a little to much for them. Maybe someone else has some more info on it, cause they need a dry hide too, and if the whole cage is humid that isn't possable.

She/he finished the shed and looked fine all over, it was just the very tip of one finger that was bleeding, he was pretty voracious about getting it off I think he just bit himself too hard or something, doesn't look like it is gonna come off or anything...
As far as the humid hide goes... I was following directions for seperate shoebox enclosures and there really isn't room for one in there with the food and water dish and regular hide
Yeah, I remember now. But I don't think you should mist it a few times a day that is a little much maybe just before they shed? I'm not sure about keeping it humid all the time though that sorta makes it tropical.
You can fit a humid hide in the shoeboxes though. Here is one of the ways I do it.

Hmm those rolls work? I used them originally but I thought they would get frustrated at them since they are easily moved.
What size mealworm container is that?
Also how did you get the glue off the tubes?
It is just the 100 count mealie or 12 count superworm container from petco turned upside down.
I have used the tp rolls with hatchlings mainly with no problem,I just proped it up againtst the side. ohh and mine didn't have any glue on it, guess it depends on the brand, but hey if you can't get it off they probably can't either. When they get a little bigger I sometimes use a little log hide.

It isn’t really common, but leos can injure themselves while shedding. Sometimes they can get frustrated at the shedding process and bite or scratch themselves too hard in an attempt to get the shed off. I have a female albino who scratched her back up pretty bad, but she healed up fast and it hasn’t happened again since. It sounds like your leo may have lost a toe nail (claw, or whatever their called). But this shouldn’t affect him/her much, as long as you keep the wound clean. Just put a dab of antibiotic ointment on the wound, and keep the cage extra clean until your leo has healed. Hope this helps,
