I made an SFE with Esmerelda. During the cold months, she only eats live food. So I got her a rat and put it in her cage. Usually I remove the water bowl before I do this. Today, I didn't. So I go to put my hand in to take out the water bowl and WHAM, right on the base of my ring finger. Dropped the water bowl, and let out a few phrases I won't mention here. After a few seconds, she realized it was me and tried to get away. Unfortunately, a few of her teeth were stuck in me. So I had to guide her out. Good news is, I think she might take F/T, or at least prekilled. The water bowl landed on the rat and killed it. When I let her in the cage, she took it right away. So here's hoping I don't have to feed her live anymore. I get paranoid, watching and waiting with a pair of fish hook removers, in case the rat bites her.
