Misting Machines?

boidsntegus Feb 14, 2004 10:37 AM

Does anyone here use a misting machine for your boas? I am making plans for my next enclosure. Right now my red tail is in a 29 gallon, and a large water containier keeps the humidity high enough. But my next cage will be L5'xD2.5'xH2', and I figure I will need a better method than a water bowl. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated.

It works great and stores conveniently on top of this worthless 5 gallon bucket.

I use a regular high capacity humidifier for my entire room. I generally need to fill it every day this time of year when it's dry but in the summer less often. This way all of my tanks are exposed to the same humidity and any animals that need even higher I keep a larger water dish in their cage. Most of my boas and pythons require similar humidity so it's not a problem maintaining the whole room.
