halamara giant banded gecko

Hi im going to a reptiel show next month and Im wanting to get some kind of arboreal gecko.last reptile show i was at i saw one of tehse geckos and it interested me.i have a 2 foot tall by 2 foot wide octagon tank that i want to set up a trio or pair in.would this be enough space.also is this a good beginner arboreal gecko.Iv only had experience in geckos with my leos but ive kept many other lizard species.thanks for your time.

no im talking about the giant bananna gecko.the species is gehyra something.they are sort of like a rhac in appearance.

There's another gecko called the banana gecko, Gehyra baliola.
Don't know much about it though, other than that care is similar to Gehyra australis, if that is any help.

Hi Nick,

I believe what you're after is the Gehyra vorax aka Giant Banana Gecko or Halmahera Giant. There isn't a lot of info out there, but I've written my own caresheet based on my experience with them. I've been keeping them for about three years and have produced more offspring than I'd like to admit.

If you haven't found anything by now and are still interested, let me know and I can send you the file.
