I suggest reading the many care sheets available on the net. It will answer all of your questions, plus many you have not even thought of yet. A good one can be found at reptilerooms.com

Like Benett said, they need UVA/UVB lighting. Not all lights marketed as full spectrum put out any measurable UVB lighting which is one of the most important things a healthy beardie needs.
