Hi

With a lot of females, not all, there first one to two egg layings will be infertile. Kind of consider it a practice run if you will. That is normal and you shouldn't worry.

Some people have females that will have fertile one's on there first try at having baby's.

perhaps you've got an infertile male? Try a new male, and see how it goes.

Good luck!

There generally is more to it than the fact that they are young or your male is "broken." Never have I had a problem with males that don't get the job done. What temp were your females incubated at? You could have "hot" females that were incubated at higher temps to achieve fewer spots, this can produce infertile females. Then you should look at the females calcium intake, then moisture levels in the lay box and the incubator.
Don't hesitate to email me if you still can't find the problem and seek help.
