Most snakes require a warm side and a cool side. This is how they regulate their body temperature. you need to read about the paticular snake you want to find the right temps and their special care. Mine do well with the warm side in the 80's and the cool side in the 70's.

I house my 2 corns and tangerine dream honduran milk snake the same. All are in 20 gallon long tanks with under the tank heater on one end of the tank. Each have a couple hiding places, substrate (I use reptile bark) and a water bowl. Lights are on timer (lights are on the same side as the UTH) so they can have a natural night time.

When they go into shedding I mist their tanks a bit to bring up the humidity and it helps them shed.

If your looking for a calm snake..do not get a Pueblan. They are VERY hyper. I was looking into getting a Pueblan but they were just to hyper. Esp the babies. I went for the tangerine dream because he is very pretty. He was a bit hyper too but has calmed down with regular handling. He is 7 months old now.

Corn snakes are about the calmest snake you can get. They also come in an amazing aray of colors.

Enjoy :0)
