How big is the rubbermaid, you want to make sure its appropriately sized for the snake. Also raise your humidity to about 70-80%. Raise the heat a little too so that one side is in the high 80s and the other in the low. Put the humid hide on the hot side, and the water bowl on the other. Paper towels or newpaper are good for substrate as well.. NERD has some very good caresheets on their site. You can also SEARCH THE BOARDS for some more info.

Also I would check with the seller if they have been treated for parasites.Farm hatched?, don't know if that means wild caught hatched eggs, but I would look into that.Personally I would have waited for captive bred animal, but hopefully you wont have any problems.Good luck with the little guy, I love those bloods, more than likely you will be searching for a second one. i got him from serpents den. he said farmed means that the parents were wild caught but the babies were born in captivity? does that sound okay?

If the parents are wild caught and have any health problems they can pass it off to the offspring. To be on the safe side if you wanted to you could take a poop sample to the vet to check for various internal parasites/worms ect.Just make sure when you get him let him settle in without holding him and wait for a couple of feedings before messing with him.I had a blood die on me with internal parasite of some sort, only fed three times for me and just got skinnier and skinnier.By the time I got her to the vet, I was to late, and this was a captive bred animal so I guess it can go both ways.Don't mean to worry you, just make sure he's eating regulary and putting on the pounds. Good luck.

hey there jeff,

my first blood was also farmed hatched. She was somewhere between 1/2-1 year old when i got her. I haven't had any problems with her, and she's tamed down beautifully. So don't worry too much. Taking a fecal sample to the vet would be a great idea, besides that just make sure you've got everything set up properly, and give your blood plenty of time to settle in before you start messin with 'em. Congrats on your blood, but watch out, they're addictive!!
