Chuckwallas STINK!

LLB Feb 15, 2004 03:47 PM

I am having a bit of a stench problem with one of my chucks lately. He just let go of the most foul smelling poop I have ever witnessed! It is almost to the point i want to get rid of him but that is definitely a last resort. I have taken him into the vet for deworming but taht didnt help at all. I feed him the typical chuck diet of kale, mustard greens, collard greens, brocolie(sp?), carrots and everyone once in a while I will moisten some rabbit pellets to sprinkle over the top of everything. My smaller DVL mutt doesnt stink at all... doing VERY VERY well btw. The larger male is a beautiful redback.. one of the most brilliant ive seen but he appears to have been wild caught. He eats good but his hips always seem to be showing a little, unlike the DVL baby, and hes very active. Like i said I really dont wanna get rid of this guy but if he keeps up like this i may have no choice. Does anybody else have this kind of problem?

I have one big guy, that when he goes, no matter where ya are your NOSE KNOWS !! LOL

But my other 2 I don't notice at all.
He does not have worms either, just stinky Chucking BOO BOO's

Guess they are like people, some stink worse than others,

Maybe cut out the Broccoli too, don't think that helps!

No of em do!!!!! That redback sure has good color. If he continues to eat & has no worms--- I would bet he will fill out & beef up this year. Broccoli has got to make nastier farts & poo than ragweed.
Keep us posted on the development of all your chucks.

Hey David

I think I will take them off the broccoli and see what happens.. i just assumed it was the alphala pellets since that stuff already smells pretty bad. If this big guy keeps acting up and running off the girls... Ill send him to you if you want another addition to you pen.
