Hi,
I have been having trouble finding the right thermostat. I really only need one, as the two cages I need it for have the same temperature range. I just need a thermostat that can handle two ceramic heat emitters, possibly some heat tape, and that is about it. I suppose I could hook a space heater up to it to just heat up the whole room, but I don;t think that would be necessary to keep the cages at the proper temperature. I do not think the cages will need anything more than that to heat them, though they are quite large, I think the ceramic heat emitters would suffice. One cage is 5 feet tall by 3 1/2 feet by 2 feet deep. The other cage is not yet constructed, but it should be about 6 feet tall by 5 feet wide by 2 feet deep. Do you think a ceramic heat emitter would be able to heat these? What thermostat would be a good one to control the temp of these cages?
I also need to find a humidifier for the larger cage. I have been looking around, but I have not found anything that can humidify such a large cage. I need the humidity to stay between 60-90%. Could I use one of those humidifiers from drug stores? I don't really want to buy one of those full misting systems, because I can put together one a lot cheaper. I appreciate any help you can offer on either subject. Thank you, Josh
