veiled

dragon55 Feb 15, 2004 05:31 PM

My 3 month old veiled chameleon has been showing a brownish color lately. At first i didn't think anything of it but thats really the only color he's shown for the past couple of weeks. Is this a sign of stress or just a normal color?

thanks, aaron bragg

did he just shed? is he in a glass aquarium? do you handle him often? is he basking when brown?

He sheded about two weeks ago. He's in a 3 x 18 x 18 cage, that is actually a bird cage, so no he's not in a glass aquarium. I never handle him, and yes he's basking when this color. -aaron

He/she is just soaking up the rays! Veiled turn dark when they are trying to absorb the heat of the sun/basking.
