First up - it doesn't take an expert to tell you to get your bluey to a vet. next - my Eastern closes one eye all the time - however - I think she may be blind in that eye. But no matter what anyone says the problem may be, or possible solutions, My advice is take it all onboard but the only thing you should act on is a visit to the vet.
Good luck mate!
Luke.

If you mention what part of the world you're in someone might be able to recommend a suitable vet.

Stomatitis (mouth rot)
Mouth rot is simply an infection in the mouth that is relatively uncommon in blue-tongued Skinks but still occurs from time to time. When it does show up, it is usually due to a combination of factors that almost always can be attributed to the husbandry of the skink. It may manifest itself with swelling along the edges of skink's mouth. Upon closer examination you may find a cheesy white substance packed into pockets in the tissue along the gum lining. This cheesy substance will need to be removed, and it will be necessary to apply a topical treatment such as Betadyne or 3% hydrogen peroxide with a cotton swab twice a day until there are no more signs of infection. A Veterinarian may be required in severe case. As for your skink, I would make sure that the skink is warm at all times, and flush out the eye. If that does not work, then see a vet. Also, it does not actually sound like mouth rot that you are dealing with. While this is really not the easiest place to figure out such things, I get the feeling that mouth rot may not be your skink's problem. Did you make this diagnosis? If so, Mouth rot is often confussed with other less serious problems. Bluee-tongues that do not have perfectly alligned upper and lower jaws often get dry gums. This can cause a dry crusty build-up around the mouth. This is usually more obvious just before shed, and often disappears after shed. Any chance of a pic?
