Found this female nesting this afternoon in her favorite spot. No surprise really as she was exhibiting typical behavior the past few days---wandering around sniffing the ground, only picking at food, bubbles in mouth and wet cloaca. The funny thing is that they will search the entire yard but always seem to lay in the same spot...or within a few feet of it.

This is her second year of laying.
I have another female that is almost 12 inches and she hasn't started yet.
On the other hand, one other female began laying at 10 inches.
