IGUANA FOUND!!!!

svinarsk Feb 15, 2004 08:03 PM

YAY!! I came home today from chicago and went to take a shower and see my ig just sitting on top of the dryer in the laundry room. I was so happy! He looks a lot skinnier and dehydrated. I have loaded up his food with all sorts of different viggies and greens and calcium and vitamins. I put the end of my water mister on his mouth and he drank like a champ! Im anticipating a quick recovery. I will post pics of the sickly little ig shortly.

Yay! How did you lose him anyways?

Well... I built a new enclosure for him and he somehow found a vulnerability in my enclosure and escaped. I secured the vulnerability and put him back in his enclosure. He seems to be fine. He is eating and moving around just fine.

That is awesome. I knew he'd come back. He just missed you that's all. I'm glad he's back and doing ok.

Good stuff...would have been sad to learn one day that he died underneath your washroom or something like you mentioned in an earlier post...a much better story when the escapee returns.

Congrats! I'm glad she is ok. You may want to give her a little bath too. That may help with some of the dehydration. Watermelon may be another good treat just to get her rehydrated as long as you don't overfeed. Make sure you supplement the heck out of her diet right now too. Good luck and keep us all posted as to her health.
