THESE ARE COLOMBIANS WITH KILLER PATTERNS! FOR ANYONE TO THINK THEY HAVE A MONOPOLY ON A CERTAIN LINE OF COLOMBIAN BOA IS LUDICROUS. COLOMBIANS ARE BRED BY THE THOUSANDS IN CAPTIVITY EACH YEAR, NOT TO SPEAK OF THE THOUSANDS THAT ARE FARMED IN.

.......
Let me start this off hopefully in a good note. You know I love the look of your animals. That is no secret.
I just saw your "pink salmon" boas on the for sale forum. Again, maybe this is just your (what I think) stubborn nature presenting itself. I don't know. But, again, I find your names for your animals miss leading. I clicked on your add to see a hypo and I see a nice pink looking boa.
Seeing things like this really make me cautious with a seller. Seeing adds like that would personally not make me buy from a breeder because I think their "credibility" is lacking. What you are calling your animals is not within the "norm" of our boa labeling system. No, I am not the president. LOL! I just think what you are doing is wrong and it is miss leading. I am sure that if a buyer were to purchase one of those pink salmons you would be sure to tell them that they are not hypos.
And, the more I think about it. The more of a waste of time this "one sided" conversation is. I have been trying to get you to answer some of my questions in some way, shape, or form. What I do know is this. A lot of us know one another by name and actions alone. You have dropped down a few notches as far as respect goes for me.

I CLEARLY STATED IN MY AD THAT THEY WERE NOT HYPO BOAS. NOTHING MISLEADING ABOUT THAT AND I MADE SURE OF IT. LOOKS TO ME LIKE YOU HAVE A PERSONAL PROBLEM AND I COULD CARE LESS IF YOU EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM ME. BY THE WAY, THOSE PINK SALMON COLORED COLOMBIANS HAVE ALREADY BEEN SOLD, SO I GUESS EVERYONE DOESN'T SHARE IN YOUR FEELINGS. GOOD DAY JOHN BOY.......
your labeling. And, if you read my post.......I never said they were bad looking boas.
I'm done kicking a dead horse.
Have a good one,
John

Spoken like a true professional! a real pillar of the community Bill!...John obviously wasn't paying attention, but, the rest of us are! if'n ya need a shovel, just holler!
I remember them saying salmon coloring or something like that.
I think the problem is, like John already mentioned, is that they are misleading. ANYONE could not pay close attention to your wording and think they were buying a salmon (aka hypo) boa. I also think about those that are not regulars in the boa world/just starting out, think ing they are get a "SALMON" that will produce more "SALMONS" when in fact that is far from the truth.
Like Is aid in my above post under your 'jungles', I am not knocking you presonally. In fact I have stuck up for you in matters a couple years ago where I got a lot of crap for doing so (same topic I emailed you about recently that surfaced again on another site), but again, I have to agree, I think you are clearly misleading "Joe Public" with the wording of your snakes.
They are awesome looking snakes. Why can't you just post a pic of them and let the look sell themselves rather than posting things that would make one believe they are genetic?

They're your snakes and you can call them whatever you want
At any rate they are beautiful, healthy snakes. I kinda like the ones with typical makings, as you would expect to see in the wild but everyone's got a favorite.
Take Care
I LIKE THE NORMAL PATTERNED ANIMALS OVER THE ABERRANT ONES AS WELL. I HONESTLY LOVE ALL BOAS AND ALL PEOPLE, I JUST UNDERSTAND BOAS BETTER THAN PEOPLE.
Im doing this as nicely as I can, so hopefully you read this with a open mind. Many questions have been asked by a few people you dont want to answer, or just havent. I would like to know the answers to them myself. Maybe if I ask them, in a non threatening way, you will take the time to answer my questions. And remeber I am a BUYING COUSTOMER when it comes to boas. I spent more money then many people spend on cars, this year alone, on boas. So I ask theese questions from the point of view of someone who could be a buyer of your "american jungles".
What makes theese more then a one time shot abberant litter?
Have you produced "american jungles" every time you have bred this particular pair, or pairs.
How many animals started the founding stock?
Have you produced "american jungles" when breeding your founding stock to "common boas".
Have you produced "american jungles" when breeding a offspring of your founding stock to a "common boa"
Have you produced "super american jungles" when breeding a offspring back to its parent or to a sibling.
Can you post a group of photos of any animals from theese pairings, and describe the breeding, lineage, ect. Can you post a time line with the photos to show how long this project has been in the works.

I thought I was asking nicely and non-threatening as well. Unfortunately, I seem to have a personal problem with something. Thanks for re-posting the questions. I would like to hear the answers. (Which was all I wanted in the first place as well.)

You are right Bill. I didn't read your add. You got me. My mistake.

I personally dont think your questions were out of line in any way. I just figured maybe if someone Bill didnt seem to have "personal issues with" might get an answer.
Also to Bill, I really dont care what you and John have against each other. I also dont disagree with your right to call a boa whatever you want. That being said I do think if you try and name a morph, you should atleast be willing to back it up with genetic info.
If I were one of the people who purchased your "american jungle" line animals, I would hope you would swallow any personal issues and explain the line. Dont you think you owe that to the boa community?
Your line could very well be BETTER then the euro jungles, but without some facts backing it they are just abberant boas. Had I spent many hundreds or thousands of dollars on one of your line, I would hope you would be as proffesional as possible in your description of the animals, if nothing else to protect "my" (the theoretical my that is) investment.

If bloodlines don't matter,I wonder why some folks are so quick to mention "Lemke","Belknap",etc.,???? I'll tell you why, because accurate information, and, representation, whether it be bloodline/genetic/locality,or,any combination of the three DO matter!!! can you gain any respect in the "true locality" community by selling imports,as "so-and-so's" bloodline, can you buy up "so-and-so's" babies, and, make up your own name??? heck NO! you'll quickly find yourself sitting alone on the "group W bench" (for those of you old enough to remember "Alice's Restaurant"*lol*)well the same goes for the "Morph community",sure I can call an animal anything I want to,but, the burden of proof should be mine, and,I think if it isn't,it will someday come back to bite me in the butt, and,I don't have that much to spare!*lol*...here in the "South" the old-time locals say:"If there's a skunk in the woodpile, flush it out,it'll stink all on its own!" If you want real Jungles, buy them from someone that at least knows what one is? I'd prefer the "real deal" to a "happy meal" anyday, but, hey that's just my opinion,I could be wrong? and,John, and,Mickey were about as polite, and, straightforward as anyone could've possibly been?
