HELP! laying eggs!!

dmlove Feb 15, 2004 08:59 PM

my female is gravid, and its been almost 2 1/2 weeks since she bred...since late january. I put her in her laying box, she was gaining lots of weight, almost 30 grams in less then 7 days ( the last 7 days or so) and she stopped gaining...i put her in her laying box with lots of potting soil, and she dug, but now she is just laying at her small hold with her head out...i can see her back end and she isnt laying eggs and she has been there for a while, is there anytihng that can instigate laying or should i just wait a few more days.shes been there 1 1/2 days thanjks

You could try a warm bath, I've done it before with leos and contractions start almost right away. But i'd say wait a few more days just to see if she lays on her own.
