Like anything else, one could selectively breed "high contrast" albino ball pythons long enough such that (reliably) most of the offspring are themselves "high contrast".
I don't believe that we've reached that point yet.
Example: NERD advertises a "high contrast" line. I personally believe this to be marketing hype more than anything else. THESE "HIGH CONTRAST" ALBINOS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH THE VAST MAJORITY OF ALBINOS CURRENTLY ON THE MARKET. The only difference is that they are a bit prettier. CURRENTLY, IT IS POSSIBLE TO BREED ANY ALBINO BALLS AND REASONABLY EXPECT SOME TO HATCH OUT AS "HIGH CONTRAST", EVEN IF THE PARENTS ARE RATHER WASHED OUT THEMSELVES.
I don't believe for a second that one could purchase these "high contrast" albino balls from the so-called "high contrast" line and produce all OR EVEN MOST "high contrast" babies... not yet.
MY PERSONAL OPINION: In the end, the lavender albinos are going to win the demand in the albino ball game. But until the prices on those get down to reality, the "high contrast" albinos are all we mortals will have to work with... I'll be getting the lavenders as soon as I can.
