Eliot,
. Mature bald eagles of both sexes have white heads. They have dark colored heads before maturity. I think they make the color change around a year or two of age. The PIC may be an immature Bald Eagle or a Golden Eagle.

hard to tell with the photo either and immature bald eagle, they dont develpoe the white markings until the 4th yr, or a golden eagle. bald eagles have a yellow beak even the immature ones and they tend to have more white throughout their body. golden eagles have a dark blue black colored beak and are a more uniform color where and when was the picture taken whether a bald or a golden its always great to see eagles
.
It's either a bird or the funniest lizard I've seen
Kind of hard to tell with the branches in the way, but you can kind of see some white streaks on the neck. This one is probably a couple years old. It is already much larger than a red tail hawk. Next year it will be close to full size, but have a sort of mottled appearance where the white is coming in (head, belly, and tail). I'll try to post some more pictures later. The other pics make it a lot more obvious, but I wanted to give you guys a challenge.
