Drinking During Brumation.

mech220 Feb 16, 2004 10:51 AM

How often do lizards drink while brumating? How can you tell if they are drinking?

I have provided a large dish full of water but cannot tell if it is being used.

Thanks,

Well, I go in and out my reptile room all throughout the day, because there are alot of other guys awake. So I usually see them drink, or notice if they are NOT .

But if you are NOT, seeing him get up at all to drink, then use an eyeddropped filled with water, and drip it on his nose till he starts to lick it !
ATLEAST once a week, I do it every other day or 2 -3 times a week, to be SAFE !!

Because they can dehydrate fast ! Only takes a minute or 2 to drip some on their mouth.
