URGENT Crested help!!

Remedy Feb 16, 2004 01:26 PM

I have two crested geckos. One is an adult male and the other is a juvenile (about 6 months old) , i think it is a female. They are housed in separate screen cages with plenty of hiding spots and foliage, etc.. The male is very healthy, eats a lot (crickets and baby food) and is very active when he is awake. The female is quite lathargic and doesnt seem to eat as much.

So i am wondering, do you see personality differences between different cresteds? Do some seem more playful and engergetic than others, or is my little female having some problems??

Also, I estimate her to be 6 months. (I have had her for 5 months and the breeder said she was about month old when I got her). She is about 2.5 inches snout to vent and 11 grams. Does this seem small?? I thought she would be growing faster.

Please post length (snout to vent) and weight stats, along with age so that we all can be provided with a benchmark.

Thank you in advance.

That does seem far too small for a 5/6 month old crested. My 5 month old crested is a good 6" SVL.

Are you giving her baby food as well?

Remedy Feb 16, 2004 03:26 PM

yes, i do give her baby food.

yours is more than twice as big as mine! i need to hear some more stats, so anybody and everybody, please reply to the original post.

thanks

Sorry I read your post wrong. My 5 month old is about 6" total length. So it's only a bit bigger than mine. Not a big worry.

Just to reassure you,

I have a small cretsed, 4 months old and he/she is only 2 inch and 1/4 stv .

One question : is she in a too ''vivarium'' so that it's hard for her to find the crickets ?

rhacogecko Feb 16, 2004 05:57 PM

I meant to BIG environment ...
