my cosmo is incredibly lazy... any suggestions on what to do? All she does is sleep and lay around... are feeder guppies an idea?

Perhaps you should get an aquatic turtle wheel. Much like the mouse wheels, your turtle will enjoy hours of underwater fun running in his aquatic turtle wheel.

Just kidding. Turtles are supposed to be lazy. They eat and bask and thats about it. If you want them to swim more, try deep water and perhaps a powerhead for current. I have a powerhead and the output of my filter which is 1300 gph pump. This creates quite a bit of current in the tank, and my turtles are really strong swimmers. Dont think your turtle cant keep up. In the wild they are excellent swimmers and their shells are streamlined. They may get blown away at first, but they will figure out how to maneuver around the powerhead and actually enjoy playing in it eventually.
