My Male (or so I was told) keeps digging in the same corner of the tank. I didnt think a female had horns as he does. Is this a female and if not then why is a male digging in the soil?? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You say tank - does that mean you are keeping him in an aquarium? Chameleons should never be kept in tanks. You need to get him into a big cage. He is digging because he is very stressed by his reflection in the glass, or the heat build up in the tank. Chameleons don't understand glass, and they will pace and push into it because they see no barrier. If he is pacing back and forth all the time, or digging and pushing into a corner, this is a classic sign of enclosure stress. Please list your setup details so we can help you figure out why he is so stressed. My first guess is the tank.
I should have known not to listen to the ladie at PetSmart. She reccommended a 45 gallon tank...a terrarium...glass enclosure...he has a nice fountain too along ith plenty of vines and things to crawl on. I am thinking about getting a "Chemeleon Condo" off E-bay. If you know anything about this...please let me know. Anything else that could help me out would be appreciated too. Thanks.
Isn't it frustrating how inept pet store folk can be??? go to this site to see the set up check list - it should help, but ask here as well.

You will probably want to get rid of the Waterfall as well. Unless you
are filtering the water (not just pumping it, but filtering it using carbon, etc.)
for bacteria. Waterfalls quicly become sewers in Chameleon setups and will make him sick.
I've heard Chams can drop down out of the Chameleon Condos, so be mindful of that. I suggest a good cage. I like this place because they will build whatever you want. Be sure to get coated wire if you use them:

Let us know if you have any other questions. NEVER listen to Petco. As a matter of fact, don't even give them any business. They kill reptiles.
Sorry, I mistakingly typed Petco when I meant to type Petsmart, who is only slightly better.
