Dirt and sand mix 50/50 ratio is my understanding alot of people are using, cypress mulch could be another one. At least some substrate that is not going to rot and hold moisture well, more prefeably something that will also support a burrow. What are you using now, I couldn't tell by the pic. Clint

I have used cypress mulch in all of the sav enclosure that I have and have had problems.
