hatchling shed

fisherk2 Jun 09, 2003 01:31 AM

Hello,

I have posted before about this hatchling. My vet is supposed to be back from vacation on Wednesday, and the only other herp vet in town (the guy I took her to 10 days ago) was a big waste of money.

This is my problem today: my hatchling started her second shed day before yesterday, but she hasn't done anything to remove the skin. Should I remove it for her, or should I wait until Wednesday to see the vet? I am taking her to the vet because I am pretty sure she is blind. I just need a professional to tell me what's up. She is very weak even though I have been trying to syringe feed her several times a day, and I think I am going to end up putting her down.

Any thoughts would help! Thanks!!

At this point, i wouldn't try and help her get the shed off. I think it would be very stressful for your little leo. Do your best to provide it with a humid environment and a warm temp(85-88), untill you get the little one to a vet. The vet should be able to help from there. Keep us posted, and good luck.
